No merchant self-certifies on DOL
Every shop across all fourteen marketplaces is identity-checked through PaymentsEdge, the KYC / KYB / KYX platform behind the network. PaymentsEdge runs the checks and holds the merchant's verified records; the merchant's contracting party is Currency Clear Limited, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as a Small Payment Institution (FRN 928861); and funds settle through Emerchantly. A shop that has not cleared those checks cannot list.
The four checks
Business identity (KYB)
Company number or trading licence matched against the national register, held on file in the PaymentsEdge platform.
Person identity (KYC)
Photo ID and proof of address verified for each beneficial owner through PaymentsEdge before the merchant account is activated.
Legal entity and contract
The contracting party is Currency Clear Limited, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as a Small Payment Institution (FRN 928861). The merchant contracts with a named legal entity, and funds settle to a bank account in the trading entity's own name.
Reachable support
A tested support channel with a published response window, re-checked while the shop stays listed.
What the badge does and doesn't mean
Stated plainly, because an overclaimed badge is worth less than an honest one.

The checks above apply to every shop on the network today. The figure below is an objective, not a claim about the network as it stands.
Target: 500 verified merchants across the network by end of 2027. This is a target, not a current figure.
Something wrong with an order?
Raise it with the shop first. If it remains unresolved after five working days, escalate to DOL and we will work with the merchant, the acquirer and Currency Clear as the contracting party to review the case.
