Digital downloads where the licence you are buying is written down
A digital file is only worth what its licence permits, so DOL Digital requires every listing to state usage rights, file formats and whether commercial use is included. Publishers here are partner merchants, and each listing states the licence you are buying. Files are delivered immediately on confirmation, and each listing names the formats included rather than leaving you to guess.
About DOL Digital: ebooks, music and digital downloads
DOL Digital is the marketplace for downloadable media: ebooks, music downloads, movies and TV, audiobooks, podcasts and online courses. Each listing names the publisher, the format and the price in GBP.
With digital goods the file matters as much as the title. Check the format (for example EPUB or PDF for books, MP3 or FLAC for music), which devices and apps can open it, and whether it carries copy protection that ties it to one account or reader. Check the licence too: most media is sold for personal use only, and templates, fonts or stock assets used in commercial work may need a different licence.
Downloads are delivered electronically, usually immediately after payment. Under the marketplace's published policy they are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right once the download has begun, unless the file is faulty, so confirm compatibility first. For ongoing access to music, film or sport rather than a file you keep, see DOL Streaming.
